I havnt been running the past two days because of some abdomen pain.  I went to a doctor today and they told me I had a hernia.  I have to meet with a surgeon on thursday at 10 am and I will let you all know what is up.  If they do surgery, I will be out close to a month.  Im going to ask if I can get away with putting it off until the winter and then doing it. Ive never had problems with my body before, Ive always been in a laboring position and my body is starting to catch up with me.   I did have a funny thing happen when I went in to the doctor, the nurse took my weight and started shaking her head.  132! Then I told her my cell phone probably weighed close to a pound. lol She then took my pulse and couldnt believe it. It was 44!  I asked her what the matter was and she told me my pulse was freakishly low.  I laughed as she left the room and could hear her talking to my doctor.  When my doctor opened the door, she was still talking to the nurse and said "he's a freak of nature that runs too much and it wasnt anything to worry about."  I asked her as she came into the room if I blew her nurse away and she said "yeah you freak!"  I will keep you all posted.

I ran 6 miles this morning slow and then 1 mile at a 5:30 pace. 7 miles total and it felt alright.

I went to Riverton High School this morning and did a light speed workout.  I ran 2 miles to warmup. Then I did 8x200's and 4x400's.  I felt alright, I see my surgeon today and I have got alot of questions now because obviously my running hard doesnt seem to bother it.  Maybe a marathon would who knows.  Ive never had to deal with anything like that.  Ill let you all know whats up. keep on it!

I ran 3 miles and then jumped into the pool this morning and did my half mile swim.  I think swimming irritates my hernia so i may slow it down a bit and just concentrate on running.  It sucks getting old and worn out.  Im not old. Im fighting it!

I ran with Chad, Adam, Steve, and the lurkers, Josh, Meagan and Lisa. Sorry if you guys read this, im not trying to be hurtful here, just tough love ok!?  Get on this blog asap and you'll be guilt free.  Ok. So, we started at the powerplant up at the start of the SLC half marathon and we ran up to emigration and down and followed the desnews course and ended on foothill blvd at the kmart.  We actually backtracked a mile or so and made it a good 16.5 miles.  My legs were a bit sore and it felt good.  Ill take it easy now as I have the rest of the day to rest.  Instead of rocking around a pier at my house I found a guy to do it for 50 bucks!  No heavy lifting right?!
