I went to the Riverton Park and ran the Half marathon Course with a ginormous group that showed up! I posted on Facebook and Dailymile and I was surprised to see how many came out. I think we had a total of 33 runners.  Very fun day! I ran in a group of 12 guys that were running a progressive run from 7 pace to 5:40ish by the end. Jake K., Scott K., Dan V., Tony, Fritz V., Brian F., from the frb were in the group. A lot of us are going to Boston this year so it was fun to get to know them! I had the BBK group that showed up as well to add to the numbers.  I had some stomach issues by mile 12 to deal with, but I kept close to those pushing. They then went for a 6 mile jaunt to finish their run but there was no way I could go anymore. It was good to see Lisa Dudley, the race director show and I was able to introduce some of the pacers that came out to run today to her.   I also saw Kelli and her hubby and Rachel W. who is also on dailymile to make sure im posting. lol  We talked about doing another run together in 2 weeks in American Fork Canyon.

Got home late from work very tired but remembered I promised Bailey Id run with her a mile. We did it in 7:53. Really good for a 9 year old!

Ran from my work in West Jordan over to Herriman area and then down to So Jo. I did 2x1 mile tempo at mile 11-12 and 13-14. First was 5:38 and second was 5:27. Feeling like my fitness was not lost completely but still have a long way to go.

I went to the Olympic Oval and did 12x400's with 400 recovery. I ran 1 1/2 mile warmup and then did my intervals all close to 1:15. I had a few 1:14's and 2 1:16's. I had a twinge on my 11th interval but decided to finish it off with pain. Ice time!  I really felt good and was glad I got in there before the night rush.

I started from my house and ran to Riverton and ran the half marathon course backwards. Then keep on the trail to 104th and then up to my house. Those last 2 miles were murder. But I kept under 7 minute on them with an uphill grade. I feel really good, my legs are really tight so Ill ice them. I did 20 miles in 2:18.

I went up to Emmigration Canyon and met up with the Runagades this morning. We ran up to the top and back down. It was fun talking with them. They are an awesome group! I lalligaged the first bit, I could really feel it in my legs.

Met with the BBK group and we did a 3 mile warmup and then some hill kills. I had someone to push me hard today. His name is Jamison from Bingham High where he ran. He has a good leg turnover on those hills. I wished I did.

6 miles with Christa near the park trail in the neighborhoods from Lifetime Fitness south and around and back. Nice to have a run in early this morning.   I went up to Day Break and did a 1.5 mile warmup and then 8x800's with a 400 recovery. Made it 7 miles total with no cool down.

Met up with the BBK group and did a 8 pace and then mile 9-11 picked it up and did two miles of tempo and then a mile cool down. Its funny, my mile cool down was a 6:37. After pushing hard it felt like an 8.

I met Danielle halfway this morning and we ran up to Daybreak together and did 10 miles up around the lake and a loop. Then I ran her home and did a 4 mile zig zag home. This site was down all morning so I blogged my miles that I can do from my phone everyday as usual without hassle on Dailymile. I figure Sasha wont answer my messages to him so maybe someone who reads this can make sure he sees how much his site will grow if he connects to FB. Im so amazed he hasnt done it yet.  Who would want to be a part of a multi billion dollar company anyway...its just crazy! Lets keep things plain.

I went to JulieC's house this morning and did a group run with about 25 of us. We did a 20 mile loop and we started at a 7:30 mile and progressed into a 6:30 mile. About mile 15 is when we were hitting 6 even splits and then mile 17 was a 5:50, 18 was 5:50, 19 was 5:45, and 20 was 5:30. What a cold morning starting out but warmed up perfectly to a finishing temp.  Jake and Scott and Fritz pulled away on the last mile and a half and gave me a great workout. I will chalk this one for Boston for sure. Im feeling more confidant every time I run with them. I had a 80+ mile week as well so this makes me feel good.

Went up to Herriman HS from my house. Nice and easy up and then last 3 miles more of a tempo. 6:08, 5:49, 5:36. I felt good the last mile but had to quit because I had a meeting to get to.

Wow, it was super warm out tonight! I was in shorts and a long sleeved tech shirt. I ran down to the River Park Trail on 104th south to 114th south and up to the kasa. Somebody honked and screamed my name. I dont know how they recognized me because it was dark.

I  went to the Olympic Oval and did a 1.5 mile warmup and then 8x800's with a 400 recovery. I did 2:37's down to 2:32 and then ended with a 2:35.  Nice to sting the legs again. I am going to run the 15k saturday so Ill do a nice easy run tomorrow and see how my first race of the season goes.

I got out to Saltair and it was borderline turning my car around and going home from the wind gusting at gruesome proportions! It was nasty nasty! I saw Josse right away and she said it was super nice by her house. Lucky!  I got my number and did a 3 mile warmup  and ran into Jake and Rob. It was blowing so hard that we found we had to run side by side because it was a crosswind and it would literally push you off of a straight line.  We went inside and waited for the start and then when we went out the wind subsided a bit.  Much better. We started and we had a tail-crosswind pushing us out. Then coming back it was in our faces. Im really not good at pushing in a race when I have to contend with that. It feels like im going no where and overworking myself to try and hit a 6 pace. It frustrates me.  My times were 1. 5:21, 2: 5:40, 3. 5:38, 4. 5:34, 5. 5:38, 6. 6:09, 7. 6:14, 8. 5:55, 9. 5:47.  I was able to muster up some push for those last two.  I then did a 4 mile cool down with Fritz, Jake, Rob, Andrea, Josse, Bill. I won $50.00 for first in Masters which I wasnt expecting so it made toughing it out even better.

I met Danielle and we ran 7 together and 3 on my own. Made me late for work but its worth it right? 

I went from my house tonight down to the riverfront park trail and over to 114th south and then all the way up to my house. I ran in 1:08. 6:47 average which seemed faster than I was running. I felt sluggish.

I went to the Olympic Oval and did a ladder interval workout. 1x400, 1x800, 1x1200, 1x1600, 1x1600, 1x1200, 1x800, 1x400.  Each with a 400 recovery jog. I did a 1.5 mile warmup and a mile cool down. I am glad I did this workout tonight indoors.
