Did the local 10k run in Lewiston Utah. I won it last year in 36 minutes and was told by the race director I wouldn't won it this year. That kind of sparked my desire to run it. I started out my first mile in 5:18. There was a few guys staying with me. Second mile had head wind and was flat but on a gravel and I couldn't get traction. I settled into a 5:40 pace after that with some incline and a steep hill that was .25 mile long at the 4th mile. It was a nice day out. I was congested with a sinus infection but happy to break 35 minutes.

Biked to work this morning and a piece of metal on the ground popped my tire! I was only 10 minutes late thanks to my mad tire repair skills. lol

This evening I ran 6 miles up around daybreak and have officially come out of my coma I was in after killing myself at Ragnar and then getting sick. At least ive been biking everyday. Thats my excuse.

Arrived below James Barnes cabin with the Herriman cross country team and ran 4 miles of steep incline to the cabin. Then we hot settled and then ran another 5 miles. I had to run back and help my daughter so I ended up with 10.

We got all 20 kids up and out the door by 7.30 and did a 1 mile warmup at 7500' elevation and did a few striders and then raced 1 mile back to the cabin with a downhill stretch. I beat the fastest kid by 13 seconds with a 4.55 mile time. Very fun. Then we had a big breakfast and ran 9 miles down to Lava ho

t springs. I averaged a 6:30 pace. We then played at Lava! So fun!

Did an early 3 mile slow recovery run and then had a nice breakfast then we ran a mile up and did a 1.5 mile relay race and I was on Team 7 and started our team with a 1 minute lead and we ended up coming in last. It was fun to compete against these speed racers. Great group of kids.

Had a hard night and early morning. Got to the start and did a mile warmup. I took off a bit hard with a runner from Runners Corner. Then Albert Wint and Nathan Hornocks and another runner passed me. Mile 1 was slight downhill and flat in 5:30. Mile 2 was slight uphill with last quarter mile going over the peak. I was at 7800' elevation and was glad I qas on the downhill. At this point Albert and I took off and hot right up to the leaders. I wanted to use the hill to my advantage so I pushed harder. Mile 2 was 5:35 mile 3 was 4:54. Mile 4 was 5:04 5 was 5:14 and at this point we were ear the bottom. I was in 3rd overall. 6 was 5:12 then 7th mile was 5:28. This is when I guy the uphill part and passed Albert and tried to make a move on the first guy. 8 was 5:41 9 was 5:56. I finally had some decline again and hit 5:40 on 10. 11 was 5:45. I looked back to see a runner about 200 meters and closing fast. Mile 12 was 5:53 I was so tired at this point but had regrets of bring passed. I pushed my wasted self as hard as I could and hit 5:41. I turned with a quarter to go and was in hot pursuit so I gave er hell and took second by a mere 15 or so seconds. I was amazed at how none of the others runners around me took water at any stations that I saw. I was taking water at every station.

I drove up to the parking lot at the top of millcreek canyon and started my trail run at 7600' Elevation. I made it to dog lake which is 9200' at mile 3. I went down a mile to 8200' and then started my climb up to Desolation lake which was at about 9200' also. I then made my way around the trail that goes up to the peak which is 10000'!  I then ran all down around the Great Western trail to the parking lot.  I started at about 8 and when I was finished it was around 9:45 pm. I was a bit freaked out from running my last 3 miles in the dark in the woods.

Ran 10 miles this morning and it was a bit hard.  I started later than im used to so the heat really got to me.  I weighed myself after and I weigh 123.5 and 5% body fat according to my scale. I really have been working hard and stressing way to much. Its time to bulk up!
