I met at the bottom of beautiful blacksmith fork canyon at the bottom and ran up to the Marathon start. It was around 530 and dusk. Cool temps. Our goal Was to maintain a 730 pace up and try to get to a 530 pace coming back down. It was 10 miles exactly where we started and coming down we Jon Allen and I couldn't hit a 530. Our last 2 miles were 553 and 551. I forgot my garmin but I think we averaged 640 pace for our 20 miles. You can see Jons blog for more info. Thanks J-Dawg! Great run in a very scenic canyon.

I went down to 98th park trail with Sarah (daughter) and Misty. We met Danielle. I ran 6 miles with her while Sarah and her mom ran together. I saw Peggy and her husband out this morning. My right ankle pain is not going away. I think its joint or bone. It feels like arthritis, that dull pain that's associated with it. The run was warm this morning.

I'm planning on 12 more this evenint up City Creek at 4.

Ok I ran up City Creek and ran into a swarm of bees. I got stung on the hands trying to swat them away from me. I'm ok. I bonked at mile 9 and finished the best I could.

I went to SJ park early and ran 2miles before the bbk group showed up. I saw Michelle and ran with her early on and Julie. We did a 5k warmup. Then a 5k tempo at 17.59. Then a mile cool down. I wished I had time to do more but work is more important right now.

Met up at the park trail in Lehi. Ran the first 5 miles with Scott, Kelli, Smooth, Rachel, and Jona, and Misty and Sarah and the mystery man. There was a pretty brisk head wind. We turned around and Scott and I ran together at a 7:30 pace for the rest of the 15 miles. We ran south till it ended and came back the last 4 of 5 miles in the head wind again. I wanted to do a mile at a fast tempo pace so I convinced Scott to do one mile at the 18 mile to 19 mile mark. I did a 5:45 in a head wind and with a little hill close to to the end of the mile. I felt good. I ran into Melanie from the BBK group and talked to her and her sister and then Scott and I did a one mile cool down to make a total of 20 miles. I really wanted to hit a 70 mile week this week, but got busy with work and home projects.

I am on vacation to Coeur D' lene Idaho and drove to Boise to meet my bro in law at his house. I ran Green belt with Monica who was the 2nd place woman in Utah Valley Marathon and is a friend of mine. She had a couple of friends that are fast up here. One did a 2:14 marathon which is my dream time! lol We ran a 6 mile loop that was shaded the whole way! Very nice.

Ran late tonight because I had a late pour of concrete. I'm working 2 jobs that are both labor intensive.

Ran with the BBK group. I ended up with 6 miles total. I didn't feel good at all. Probably from running two times close together. Blah!

I went into this race with a goal to try and push my pace to keep up with the competition. I felt pretty good for 6 and then fell to pieces. Not a PR from trying to run a faster pace then my body could handle at this time. Mt daughter Sarah ran it today and I was so proud of her! Misty ran with her being pregnant. It was fun to hang out with Kelli and Rachel! I love you guys! Thanks for the watch Kelli! They gave away 2 treadmills at the end and lots of prizes. Its a very great race and 2200 runners showed up. Ill try to post some pics on here when I get back to my computer. It was good to see Jon Cody Paul and Matt who are the local yocals! Good to see Bec and her friend. I know I missed friends I'm old! Forgive me!
