I ran all by myself this morning. I did 10.5 miles and my legs are tight.  My route was mostly uphill with a gradual incline. It took me 1:16 to run that which was a bit slow.  Even though I felt like I was pushing it a bit.  I did my last 2 miles with a marathon tempo pace and hit 5:58 and 6:04.  Its starting to get brisk in the morning. My hands were cold.

I could not sleep last night due to a mistake that my foreman did on a job site yesterday.  I was going to run at 2:30 this morning to see if it would make me tired enough to forget about my problems but I chickened out.  I got my daughter off to school and then had a meeting with an account Im working on.  Then dealt with this BS that may cost me my business.  I swear I cant be everywhere that I need to be during the day so I pay out the wazoo for someone to try and help and all he does is hinder.  It is frustrating.  I put a full day of driving around and trying to patch up this and it didnt even resolve it.  So hopefully I can get it out of mind enough to sleep this evening!  I ran at 6:30 tonight to help calm myself and try to force myself in a coma.  I ended up running 12 miles in 1:25 which is a 7:09 mile.

I went to SJ park and ran with the BB runners and we did 4x 5k runs with rest in between. Did my first at a warm up pace.   2nd was a 19 minute 5k. 3rd was 22. 4th was 17. No cool down as I had to do the carpool thing for school.

Ok I finally was able to get some sleep.  Im still tired though.  I wanted to try and hit 100 miles this week but it looks like Im going to fall short. I drove up to Daybreak this morning and ran 9 miles at 5:30 am with Trick.  She has a nasty cold and still pushed through it.  I hope I dont come down with anything in the next 2 weeks. Ill be ravished if I do.

I ran up at the capital today.  I did the Hansons-Brooks Brian Sell simulator run. Its where you get a course simular to the marathon course your training for.  It was in this months Runners World magazine. You switch Kilometers for miles so today I ran 26.2 Kilometers which equals 16.3.  I started out with a 6:50-7:00 minute mile for the first 4 miles then I got to my race pace of 5:35-5:50 for 3 miles then I hit the hills of City creek canyon. I ran 4 miles up the canyon at a 7:15 pace and then came down 4 miles with a 5:15-5:30 pace.  There were alot of runners up there this morning.  I saw some familiar faces from Locomotion and Salt Lake Track Club.  It was not cold at all and felt super great for a hard workout like this one.  I had alot of fun even though I was by myself and would like trying to do these more often with someone to push me.
