I started my morning run at 6 am at Tricks house and made it to the park trail and ran 5 out and 5 back with a .1 sprint after.  I saw Mark and Teena in the dark and I swear I know mark from somewhere everytime I see him I do  the hey I know you look.  It was pretty warm with a few cold spots along the way.  I also saw some BBK runners out and about.  A great day!

I am going to Lagoon with the family today! I love it this time of the year there. Spooky fun!

As you can see in this photo we had a full boat!

Great runnin'! Have fun at Lagoon. I'm glad you like it there because I HATE it. I used to love it but I can't stand the crowds anymore. AAAHHHH!!! Just thinking about standing in lines makes me want to fight someone:)

From walter on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 12:34:34

Come with today and you and me can duke it out! lol Im serious Ill hit you!

From Camille on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 13:00:58

I'm glad to see you got the photos figured out! :o) That's a neat photo. I love the cliffs!

From Teena on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 14:26:16

Hope you're having fun at Lagoon. You were really cruising on the parkway.

From Kelli on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 22:41:41

I hate Lagoon, too!! HATE IT! Once you have been to Disneyland, Lagoon is just lame!

But I am sure you had a blast Walter. Your kids are older, so it is probably more fun!

From walter on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 02:05:34

Camille, Its about time huh!? And I do love going down to powell on a yearly basis.

Teena, Lagoon was extremely busy from the nice weather we had today. I felt pretty tired today. But I do love running on the parktrail. Did you notice the gates they have installed on the trail? Does that mean they will close the trail off during the winter or what? Interesting huh?

Kelli, the lines were long but moved faster than the Disneyland lines. My girls dusted me the minute we got into the park. See ya dad!

From Smooth on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 02:09:49

Walter,

What a gorgeous day to be with the family at Lagoon. Half of my neighbors were there today. Way to go with a nice run to start the day.

I LOVE your boating and water-skiing/boarding pictures. What a hot-dogger!!! Fancy water skill there. Do you snow-ski?...no, you hate cold, right. Most skinny runners like you hate the cold, cause you ain't got no fat to keep you warm. :)

From walter on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 02:22:02

You definitely have me pegged Smooth! Im not really a hot dogger. I realized of all the many years Ive been boating, I barely could scratch up any photos of us at all. So we filled our camera up with them. I tried Snow boarding last year and I do hate cold. I work outside year round so I get used to it as I do with the heat.

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 10:41:22

I did notice the gates. I have no idea what that means? Maybe Kelli's husband, Scott or my friend lieutenant friend, Steve, would know. Cops seems to know everything about the area!!

Are you around Kelli??? Will you ask Scott?

From walter on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 11:10:54

Good point Tina, I can send Kelli a message. We should get all the bloggers and and go into one of the West Jordan City meetings and get them to complete the trail system from 90th south southbound through. Its been long enough for them. Then We can go to South Jordan and Riverton and do the same from 114th area south too! If the idea of having a trail for runners is what they started then they need to finish it.

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 11:17:50

We were talking about that Saturday as we ran. Rick brought up the point that it would be extremely difficult because of the golf course.

From Camille on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 11:26:54

Maybe it's because I'm in Arizona... but what the heck is Lagoon?

From walter on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 12:06:26

Tina, there has to be a solution to it though! It makes me mad.

Camille, Lagoon is an amusement park that has been around all long time. They have one of the oldest Rollercoaster ride still in function in the west. Most of the Amusement park rides are created here in Utah so our park tests the newest ones before they hit the big attraction parks. lagoonpark.com
