This morning I swam 4x200 yards, 1x350, 1x250 and then finished off with a 200 yards.

I poured 6 yards of concrete on a porch cap on a house just up emigration canyon and saw christina running!  Shes on this blog by the way. Very funny. I was very envious of her. I would much rather be running up that canyon then pouring concrete!   After that I poured a foundation in herriman 46 yards and then came home laced up my shoes and my wife made me edge the lawn before I ran so I told her yes mam!

I ran 11.25 miles in 1:16 minutes My stupid garmin 305 watch is broken and it wont pick up a satelite signal. I had to pull the new garmin 405 out of the box that im giving my wife for mothers day and use it. Dont anyone tell her ok! She wont read this so im safe! Its an awesome watch. I put it back in the package and she wont even know!   I may have to fight her for it!

Walter you might just need to reinstall the GPS engine software. Go to Garmin's site and you can download it there, or you can call Garmin and they can troubleshoot the problem for you.

Great run tonight.

From Walter on Fri, May 09, 2008 at 10:09:34

Ok thanks ill try it. I called service and without it being registered they couldn't help me.

From nicole on Fri, May 09, 2008 at 10:54:04

Lucky for the me the treadmills at the gym have tvs! I LOVE coeur d'alene - why did you ever leave? I would love to live there, it is so beautiful. Whidbey Island was okay, apparently they changed the half course from in the past and it eliminated a lot of the on-the-water time, so it was a lot less scenic than I expected. Deception Pass on the way to Whidbey Island is gorgeous though, I highly recommend it.

From Walter on Fri, May 09, 2008 at 12:51:44

I wish I could have stayed in Coeurd'lene but i was young and my parents moved to Salt Lake so I just stayed here. But I love visiting there and maybe someday Ill live there. On the lake for sure! I do want to do the Whidbey Island run. Not enough days in the year to do all the marathons and triathlons that I want. whats your next race?

From Jon on Fri, May 09, 2008 at 23:03:48

Hey, are you doing St George this year?

From Walter on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 00:10:26

Freak, I dont know what happened. I registered as a group and one of my runners is in the 10 year club so I thought for sure id be in. I'll have to call and deal with it again!. Every year I have to do this. its so annoying! Id have better luck playing pick up sticks with my butt cheeks than making it into the st. george marathon without fighting my way in.

From Jon on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 08:36:49

Playing pick up sticks with your butt cheeks? Man, where do you come up with these phrases? They sure make me laugh!

From Walter on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 13:30:31

I got that phrase from John Candy in planes trains and automobiles. Very funny show! How are you feeling for next week. Ive got some alergies kicking in and my legs just feel wiped out. But other than that I feel like I may be able to try and break a 2:40. Are you in?

From Jon on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 21:27:49

No, since I missed 3 weeks of prime training, I am not going for a fast time. I'm treating it like a long workout, in preparation for the rest of the summer. I'm going out at 6:30 pace for the first 15-18 miles, then I may pick it up after that if I feel good. But I'll be content with anything sub-2:50.

From wheakory on Sun, May 11, 2008 at 00:28:45

I would like to do a 2:40, and think Ogden is good to try.

From Walter on Sun, May 11, 2008 at 00:49:40

Ok Ill get with you at the start. or before the race sometime. Hows your training been going? I feel ok but my legs are majorly maxed out. Ive got to get them to recover faster.

From wheakory on Sun, May 11, 2008 at 01:41:49

Walter - This weeks been good, but the last two weeks I was fighting a knee pain, and could only get 40 to 50 miles, but this week I hit 80 miles. I really don't know what I'll do but I'm going to be confidence and say I can do a 2:40.

Week can't say, but or it will never happen with doubt. All you can do is your best and pray to God.
