Went with Rachel to get on the buses.  As I sat down, Michelle was there and then Rachel was right next to me and i didnt even see either of them when I sat down. Then Josse made it on the bus so we had a little chat session going up. It felt like we drove 26 miles. Got up to a Lodge and it was delayed almost an hour. Saw some really cool costumes up there! Luz showed up on the late bus and changed into her wedding dress. I was dressed as Adam, so yes I looked naked and had a fig leaf covering the best parts. It was a skin colored tights and it had painted nipples too. I loved looking at peoples reaction! Very fun!

The race started and I ran with a group of 4 that thinned out to Steve and myself by mile 5. Then Steve kept his pace really good and I just felt tired. I hashed it out to second place tough. I had to stop right at mile12 to do a 2 minute potty break due to the costume I was wearing, I had to almost get naked to go to the bathroom and then pull that one piece body suit back on. I just wouldnt have made it one more mile.

Congrats fig-leaf boy!!!

From RAD on Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 16:46:16 from 76.27.12.70

Glad you didn't crap your leaf :)

Nice finish Walter!! I hope the money comes in the mail with the rest of the AG prizes! :)

From Burt on Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 16:52:12 from 98.177.216.165

The first word I saw of your report was nipples. So I knew it was going to be really good or really awkward. Now that I'm done reading I'm leaning towards the latter. Sheesh! Way to go father of mankind.

From LuzyLew on Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 17:42:29 from 69.169.167.157

you didn't say you had to stop and strip in the POP---Hilarious. I can just picture what went on in there as you tried to maintain your first position. It's funny just to imagine it. We had so much fun. I loved seeing everyone in their costumes. The downhill, gorgeous canyon running wasn't bad either. But I'll bet you don't notice that when you're in second place! Great race!! Although I have to say, the naked butt lady was even more 'cheeky' than Adam :)

From Jeff L on Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 17:42:29 from 71.36.73.82

Nice meeting you at the end and nice costume. It was one of the better ones that I saw at the race.

From Adam RW on Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 18:25:24 from 24.10.175.42

From Walter on Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 21:22:17 from 76.27.15.208

Teena, Thanks. you wouldve had a blast.

Rachel, that is funny.

Burt, a couple of girls at the starting line told me they were offended at my attire. haha

Luz, i was shaking the pop! lol

Jeff, same to you! You keep up the good work, get those miles in. You will surprise yourself what you can accomplish.

Adam, that was some serious pounding on my legs. Too close after SGM.

JD, if you saw my costume today, you would definitely agree with your statement! haha

From Walter on Sun, Nov 01, 2009 at 22:55:41 from 76.27.15.208

Redrooster Go to Rad or Rachel moody on here. she has them posted.

Bec, I did have an Eve costume that I shouldve found someone to wear! It wouldve been the bomb! It was fun though.

Michelle, come on! lol Next year you can wear the Eve costume. haha

CookieLover, I feel for dancers in one piece leotards! Now try to get out of that in a hurry! Yeah, I rocked the plastic crapper! lol

From jtshad on Mon, Nov 02, 2009 at 15:12:20 from 204.134.132.225

From Ericka on Tue, Nov 03, 2009 at 15:06:41 from 74.81.243.253

Nice Race Adam! you were looking pretty tired at the end there. Way to stick it out for a 2nd place finish!

From Walter on Tue, Nov 03, 2009 at 18:50:08 from 76.27.15.208

Thanks Jeff, If you dont have a passion for this sport then the first sign of fatigue would keep most sane people from doing what we do.

Ericka, Oh I have to say I was completely exhausted even more than the last few miles at St. George! My legs still havnt recovered 1 month later. I havnt exactly allowed them to besides one week of nothing. I can totally see a 1:09 on that course! It fast. It was fun to see you and hang out with your family! You all are the best! I laugh at Striders comments on Facebook all the time!
