Ran with the BBK group this morning at 5:15. I was so cold I wasnt making sense in my sentances. I told Peggy I was doing a race on the 38th of March. My brain was crystalizing. We ended up doing a gradual hill climb for about a half mile, and did that 4 times and then did 6 steep hill sprints for 30 seconds.  I clocked a total of 9.6 miles but my watch was probably frozen too. Im pretty sure it was near that everyone else got close to that.

Your brain was crystalizing? You have a brain? :)

I know lu, its a work in progress. I got it with dorothy and the tin man and the lion.

From Kelli on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 14:52:34

I would run a race with you on that date! I might even beat you!

From Rachel on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 15:35:34

I love that you call it a 'gradual hill climb'!?! I was actually ahead of a couple people, then everyone started taking shortcuts and I got left in the dust sucking wind and trying to catch them on that 'gradual hill'. It was good though, I definately need hill work! Great job keeping warm this morning, it wasn't easy ... I just didn't talk.

Kelli, you are on! Its go time! Tell Scott that if he can run like that he should be hitting around a 1:21 half marathon. I know he can do it. You will see! Whatever speech you gave him to fire him up so much is what you need to give all of us!

Rachel, I had a hard time functioning! I really have a hard time with temps that cold! Scott kept me going though!

From Kelli on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 19:14:13

But, there is no March 38th, so it is a no go!

I agree that Scott can hit some pretty fast times this year. I think he believes it, too. Now I have lost my running partner. So, will your wife run with me??

From walter on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 19:24:01

yeah, my wife will run with you! she is so intimidated by the whole group run thing. Maybe we can make our way to Herriman to run with you.

From walter on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 19:25:31

oh and I know I said the 38th I was just giving you some hope to beat me Kelli!

From peej on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 20:28:30

Walter, my sister shimelle has told me that you are a fast runner. I need to be faster, but it will come. I have been swimming for a while now, getting ready for my real training program to start next Monday. I really am excited to do the ironman in June, but a bit nervous to put a marathon behind 112 mile bike. Later peej

From walter on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 20:53:40

I did the 70.3 half Ironman last year and had to drop out from getting sick and dehydrated. You are right though, I would have a hard time starting a marathon after jumping off a 112 mile bike ride. Come out and run with the BBK group and good luck in your training. I have a good friend named BJ Christiensen from Utah that is amazing at them. Keep up the good work Peej! See ya

From Kelli on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 13:11:53

Rest assured, Walter, when there is a March 38th on the calendar I will beat you!

From walter on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 13:13:46

You are so on! Lets get ready to rumble!

From Kelli on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 13:22:44

It might happen in the year 2098, but you will be pretty old by then and I will still be young!

From walter on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 13:45:15

game on! you are younger then me so you have a fighting chance.
