Wow, what a draining week I had! On New Years Eve morning my father had a mild heart attack I was woken up at 2 am to my whole family trying to get a hold of me. I really hate my phone ringing at that hour. It only means one thing, and it always is bad news. Ive never had anyone call me at that hour to tell me I won the lottery or that there was a mistake in Boston Marathon and everyone up to me was disqualified so I won, or something with good news like that! My dad is fine and back at home. He was smart enough to know the symptoms from family history of strokes and attacks. I spent the week up in Lewiston, Utah just north of Logan and it was freakin' cold up there. I did enjoy the Utes kickin' the crap out of a goliath team that came into the Sugar Bowl way over confident. GO UTES! GO MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERANCE! Always a good day when you can make a mockery of the BCS! ha! My miles last week were meak and for sure weak. I will make up for it next week. Its go time! Boston will be here before I know it!

Got up and went down to the park trail and ran with Danielle and Misty. It was trampled down quite a bit but still sucked to run on. We went south and ran as far as the trail went and then up into the subdivision until we hit 3 miles. Then back. The wind was brutal and felt better when it was at our backs. Its frickin freezing mr. bigglesworth!
Ok I went to the capitol rotunda and braved sub freezing temps with my daughters to see David Archuleta sing the national anthem for the inauguration of our government officials. I got to meet David and say a few words to him. My youngest got a pic with him. We were sitting so close to President Thomas Monson that I could have talked to him if it wasnt so formal. It was good to see him. After the festivites my daughters were interviewed by Des newspaper and it was cute. They had no idea what was going on besides David sang! lol My Bailey was on the news and described the event as "David is an awesome singer!" they then asked Brookie (12) what was going on and she said " you got a new governor?" lol Nothing like destroying the Brown family name! haha. It was fun despite the bitterness of being outside. Governor Huntsman saved $150,000 dollars by having it outside! Can you freakin believe that? He also claimed today as Utah Utes Day! Awesome!

Got up pretty early and met with the bbk runners. We did  8.3 miles and one of the runners (the lady with the dog) took a spill and since i was behind her I followed suit and tripped over her and her dog. I caught myself with my hands so I was fine but she seamed to be hurt so Peggy ran back to the vehicle with her. What a nice gal Peggy is! We had a few new runners there, one was Emily from my neighborhood and another was Kimberly from Minnesota who is looking for a group to run with. It was good talking to them and getting to know them. the trail was plowed from 98th to 104th which was nice.

Went to the Olympic Oval this morning right at 5:30 and did my very boring but not as boring as a treadmill run! I ran 26 laps which equals near 7.25  miles. Each lap is 480 yards long or maybe its 440 yards. I know its 40 yards longer than a normal track. So 10 laps is adding an extra .25 mile or something like that. Its confusing but so is my thinking.

I dont have the money to go buy another one. I should have bought one for Christmas! Or asked Santa at least!

Ok, Im back! I had a one day missed run due to snow. Its Snow good! Great for the mountains, bad for the streets! I ran starting at Gardner Villiage going south to 90th and then back all the way to 54th or so and then back to the parking lot. Ended up doing 10.5 miles and my Garmin is officially kaputt! Ran with Danielle for all of it and a little with Misty.
